Board Group : 19 m. Canberra now has a cat cafe! It is a VERY small cat cafe run from my living room in Macgregor, with BYO coffee (so I don't have to get food preparation skills or insurance anytime soon)... and six adorable foster kittens, one of whom (Hero, pictured) is still available for adoption! I work for. Open Tuesdays 9:30-2:30; Thursday, Saturdays 2-6. BOOKINGS ESSENTIAL. $20 per adult per hour (minimum $40), $25 per kid 10+ per hour ($50 minimum), with exclusive sessions availabl Fol

Interesting_Pea_522. 1h That's not a cat cafe. Cat cafe's provide food service + relaxing with cats/kittens. This is just a living room !

Common-Anxiety. 2h How is this a cat cafe if you have to bring your own coffee?

Manannin. 1h It's absolutely mad she didn't at least invest in coffee making facilites, but I imagine that'd involve making it a legitimate business and doing some food/drink safety course.

Tribalrage24 • 1h I think it's as she mentioned in the post, if she served food she would need insurance and a license. Which as I'm typing it, I wonder if there isn't an insurance you need for a petting zoo (or whatever this is). Like if the cat injures someone is she liable?

Xtorting• 1h It would benefit her to seek insurance just for bodily harm. If a cat attacks it is the same as if a pet attacks a guest in the home. Which can lead to medical costs and putting down the pet.

azorelang ● 1h Wtf is this scam. If I want to go sit with cats I can just go volunteer at my local shelter FOR FREE. I'm sure they'd let me bring my own coffee too. She's delusional.

TheDonutPug. 2h y'know what if people fall for that, then tbh I kind think that's on them. if you roll up to this person's house for a "cat cafe" and then still pay the $40 minimum, that's on you pal, it was very clear what was going on you can't really say you were deceived.
